Under section 29 of the Cannabis Control Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Regulation:
Citation
1This Regulation may be cited as the General RegulationCannabis Control Act.
Definitions
2The following definitions apply in this Regulation.
“Act” means the Cannabis Control Act.(Loi)
“houseboat” means a watercraft or other artificial contrivance used or capable of being used as a means of transportation on water that contains sanitary facilities and the necessary facilities for sleeping and the preparation and serving of meals.(caravane flottante)
Private dwellings
3(1)The following places are prescribed for the purposes of the definition “private dwelling” in section 2 of the Act:
(a) a houseboat that is moored, anchored, beached or docked; and
(b) a guest room of a hotel, motel, inn or bed and breakfast facility where smoking is permitted under the Smoke-free Places Act.
3(2)Despite paragraph (1)(a), a houseboat is not a private dwelling when used as a means of public transportation.
Identification documents
4The following government-issued identification documents are prescribed for the purposes of subsection 8(1) of the Act:
(a) a driver’s licence;
(b) a passport; or
(c) any other document that contains a person’s name, signature, photograph and date of birth.
