342.4(1)An employer shall ensure that a laboratory fume hood that is or will be used for working with the following is clearly labelled with the applicable restrictions on its use:Â
(a)
radioactive material in amounts that exceed the exemption quantity; or
(b)
perchloric acid.
342.4(2)An employer shall ensure that a laboratory fume hood is not used for storage of chemicals unless it is used exclusively for this purpose and is labelled with this limitation.
