1Section 2 of New Brunswick Regulation 84-115 under the Health Services Act is amended
(a) in paragraph (d) of the definition “beneficiary” by adding “, a community residence or a special care home” after “licenced nursing home”;
(b) in paragraph (e) of the definition “emergency services” by striking out “ as limited to items listed in section 6 of Schedule II”.
2 Subsection 3(4) of the Regulation is repealed.
3 Paragraph 4(d) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “ as listed in paragraphs 3(a) to (f) of Schedule II”.
4 Section 5 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “ listed in Schedule II”.
5 Paragraph 7(b) of the English version of the Regulation is amended by striking out “gaol” and substituting “jail”.
6 Section 9 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “the Finance and Administration/Income Maintenance Division of the Department of Social Development” and substituting “the Department of Social Development”.
7 Subsection 10(1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “ on the applicable form specified and supplied by the Director”.
8Section 11 of the Regulation is amended
(a) by renumbering the section as subsection 11(1);
(b) by adding after subsection (1) the following:
11(2)The rates of payment for entitled services not listed in the Schedules to this Regulation and the descriptions of those entitled services are negotiated through contracts with the professional associations that provide those services to beneficiaries.
9Section 15 of the Regulation is amended
(a) by adding after subsection (3) the following:
15(3.1)A dentist providing an entitled dental service is authorized to collect from a beneficiary or dependent a participation fee, which applies only to the dentist’s own fees.
(b) by repealing subsection (4).
10Subsection 19(4) of the Regulation is amended
(a) by repealing paragraph (a) and substituting the following:
(a) reimbursed for those accommodation, meal and travel expenses reasonably incurred in connection with their duties on the advisory committee in accordance with the Treasury Board travel policy guidelines, as amended, and
(b) in paragraph (b) by striking out “ninety dollars per half day” and substituting “$450 per day”.
11 Schedule II of the Regulation is amended
(a) by repealing the heading “Dental Services” preceding section 1;
(b) by repealing section 1;
(c) by repealing section 2;
(d) by repealing section 3;
(e) by repealing section 4;
(f) by repealing section 5;
(g) by repealing section 6;
(h) by repealing section 7;
(i) by repealing section 8;
(j) by repealing the heading “VISION SERVICES” preceding section 14;
(k) by repealing section 14;
(l) by repealing section 15;
(m) by repealing section 16;
(n) by repealing section 17.
12This Regulation comes into force on April 1, 2023.
