REGULATION 2019-21

Motor Vehicle Act

1The heading “SEASONAL VEHICLES” preceding section 4.1 of New Brunswick Regulation 83-42 under the Motor Vehicle Act is repealed.
2Section 4.1 of the Regulation is repealed.
3Section 13 of the Regulation is amended
(a) by repealing subsection (4) and substituting the following:
13(4)When a special conservation registration plate is issued as part of a registration transaction under sections 3 to 11, the fee payable on the issuance of the registration plate shall consist of
(a) $50 for the issuance of the registration plate, and
(b) $7 to be deposited in accordance with subsection (6).
(b) by repealing subsection (5) and substituting the following:
13(5)After the issuance of a special conservation registration plate, a fee of $7 shall be payable each time
(a) a vehicle to which the registration plate is attached is registered, or
(b) the registration of a vehicle to which the registration plate is attached is renewed.
(c) in subsection (6) in the portion preceding paragraph (a) by striking out “the set of special conservation licence plates” and substituting “the special conservation registration plate”.
4 Section 15 of the Regulation is amended
(a) in paragraph (3)(d) by striking out “3(3), (3.1)” and substituting “3(3.1)”;
(b) in paragraph (4)(d) by striking out “3(3), (3.1)” and substituting “3(3.1)”;
(c) in subsection (5.1) by striking out “3(3), (3.1)” and substituting “3(3.1)”.
Commencement
5(1)Subject to subsection (2), this Regulation comes into force on July 15, 2019.
5(2)Sections 1 and 2 come into force on November 1, 2019.
