REGULATION 2015-30

Smoke-free Places Act

1The enacting clause of New Brunswick Regulation 2004-99 under the Smoke-free Places Act is repealed and the following is substituted:
Under section 14 of the Smoke-free Places Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Regulation:
2The heading “Definitions” preceding section 2 of the Regulation is repealed and the following is substituted:
Definition of “Act”
3Section 2 of the Regulation is repealed and the following is substituted:
2In this Regulation, “Act” means the Smoke-free Places Act.
4The heading “Enclosed outdoor eating or drinking area” preceding section 3 of the Regulation is repealed.
5Section 3 of the Regulation is repealed.
6Section 4 of the Regulation is amended
(a) by repealing subsection (2) of the French version and substituting the following:
4(2)Un avis d’interdiction de fumer est affiché dans chaque véhicule public et de manière clairement visible pour le public.
(b) by adding after subsection (2) the following:
4(2.1)A sign prohibiting smoking shall be posted in each outdoor public place and be clearly visible to members of the public.
7This Regulation comes into force on July 1, 2015.
