REGULATION 2010-46
under the
Elevators and Lifts Act

1Subsection 2(1) of New Brunswick Regulation 84-181 under the Elevators and Lifts Act is amended in the definition “Code”
(a) by repealing paragraph (a) and substituting the following:
(a) when applied to elevators, dumbwaiters, escalators, material lifts and incline lifts:
(i) CSA Standard ASME A17.1-2007/CSA-B44-07, entitled Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators, except sections 5.3 and 5.4, and
(ii) ASME A17.1a-2008/CSA-B44a-08, Addenda to CSA Standard ASME A17.1-2007/CSA-B44-07,
(b) in paragraph a.1) of the French version by striking out “monte-charge” and substituting “monte-charges”.
2This Regulation comes into force on April 1, 2010.
