76(1)A judge making a probation order shall specify in the probation order the period of time for which it is to remain in force.
76(2)A probation order shall not remain in force for a period of more than two years after the date when the order takes effect.
76(3)A probation order takes effect
(a)
on the date on which the order is made, or
(b)
where the defendant is sentenced to imprisonment, other than a sentence of imprisonment to be served intermittently or a sentence of imprisonment that commences on a day later than the day of sentencing, on the expiration of that sentence.
