Offences
116(1)No person shall do any of the following:
(a) without lawful authority under this Act, deface, alter, remove or disturb any picket, boundary line, figure, writing or other mark lawfully placed, standing or made under this Act;
(b) supply any false information under this Act;
(c) obstruct the Minister or an officer appointed under this Act in the execution of their powers and duties;
(d) Repealed: 2008, c.11, s.19
(e) fail to comply with a decision or order made by the Board under this Act.

(b) supply any false information under this Act;
(c) obstruct the Minister or an officer appointed under this Act in the execution of his powers and duties;

(e) fail to comply with a decision or order made by the Mining Commissioner under this Act.

Offences and penalties
116(1)No person shall
(a) without lawful authority under this Act, deface, alter, remove or disturb any post, stake, picket, boundary line, claim tag, figure, writing or other mark lawfully placed, standing or made under this Act;
(b) supply any false information under this Act;
(c) obstruct the Minister or an officer appointed under this Act in the execution of his powers and duties;
(d) violate or fail to comply with any provision of this Act or the regulations; or
(e) fail to comply with a decision or order made by the Mining Commissioner under this Act.
116(2)A person who violates any provision of subsection (1) commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction
(a) in the case of a natural person, to a fine of not more than one thousand dollars and in default of payment is liable to imprisonment in accordance with subsection 31(3) of the Summary Convictions Act, and
(b) in the case of a corporation, to a fine of not more than ten thousand dollars and in default of payment to levy by distress and sale in accordance with section 35 of the Summary Convictions Act.
