Registrations, permits and approvals
15(1)Subject to subsections (2) and (3), the Minister may, in the Minister’s discretion, issue, amend, transfer, suspend, cancel, renew and reinstate registrations, permits and approvals in accordance with the regulations.
15(2)When considering the issuance, amendment, transfer, suspension, cancellation, renewal or reinstatement of a registration, permit or approval, the Minister may, in the Minister’s discretion, require the obtaining of insurance coverage or the posting of security and may impose such other terms and conditions as the Minister considers appropriate and, if regulations have been made respecting the imposition of such terms and conditions, shall impose them in accordance with the regulations.
15(3)When considering the issuance, amendment, transfer, suspension, cancellation, renewal or reinstatement of a registration, permit or approval, the Minister shall consider
(a) the purpose of this Act and the regulations, as set out in section 2,
(b) the objectives established under subsection 8(1), and
(c) such other factors as are set out in the regulations.
15(4)The Minister may, at any time, require any person to provide to the Minister any pollution prevention plans, risk assessment or other information, in the form and manner required by the Minister, that the Minister considers necessary in considering the issuance, amendment, transfer, suspension, cancellation, renewal or reinstatement of a registration, permit or approval and, if regulations have been made respecting such a requirement, shall impose the requirement in accordance with the regulations.
