2There is established the Office of the Child, Youth and Senior Advocate, which office is charged with the following duties and responsibilities:
(a) ensuring that the rights and interests of children, youths, adults under protection and seniors are protected;
(b) ensuring that the views of children, youths, adults under protection and seniors are heard and considered in appropriate forums where those views might not otherwise be advanced;
(c) ensuring that children, youths, adults under protection and seniors have access to services and that their complaints about those services receive appropriate attention;
(d) providing information and advice to the government, government agencies and communities about the availability, effectiveness, responsiveness, and relevance of services to children, youths, adults under protection and seniors; and
(e) acting as an advocate for the rights and interests of children, youths, adults under protection and seniors generally.

(d) providing information and advice to the government, government agencies and communities about the availability, effectiveness, responsiveness, and relevance of services to children and youths; and
(e) acting as an advocate for the rights and interests of children and youths generally.
