99(1)An employer shall ensure that a locomotive used in track haulage is equipped with
(a)
one or more adequate headlights,
(b)
an audible warning device,
(c)
a fire extinguisher in working condition,
(d)
adequate brakes,
(e)
if electric powered, an automatic shut-off switch constructed so that power to the motor can only be maintained by continuous pressure of the locomotive operator on the switch, and
(f)
if diesel powered, a readily accessible shut-off valve in the fuel line to the engine from the fuel tank.
99(2)An employer shall ensure that a train used in track haulage is equipped with an adequate tail light or reflector.
99(3)An employer shall ensure that the control levers of storage battery and trolley locomotives are arranged so that the levers cannot be moved accidentally when the power is on.
