Confidentiality
6(1)The names, telephone numbers and civic addresses acquired in the development, establishment and operation of the NB 911 service are confidential and no person shall disclose such information except
(a) for the purposes of the development, establishment and operation of the NB 911 service,
(b) upon the request or with the written approval of the person to whom the information relates, or
(c) where the Minister considers the disclosure to be in the public interest.
6(2)Subsection (1) shall not be construed so as to prohibit the sharing or release of information between the Minister, a local government or an emergency service provider for purposes relating to the development, establishment and operation of the NB 911 service.
6(3)Notwithstanding subsection (1), civic addresses, the master street address guide and the graphic geofile manager may be released by the Minister
(a) to Government departments, agencies and commissions, or
(b) under an agreement entered into by the Minister and any person.
6(4)If this section is inconsistent with or in conflict with a provision of the Right to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, this section prevails.
