2In this Regulation,
“Act” means the Fish and Wildlife Act;(loi)
“association” means an association of persons who are interested in raccoon hunting;(association)
“bobcat authorization” means a valid and subsisting bobcat authorization issued under paragraph 4.01(8)(a);(autorisation de chasse ou de prise du chat sauvage d’Amérique)
“bobcat validation sticker” Repealed: 2016-42
“deer season” Repealed: 2007-41
“drowning set” means a leg hold trap set so that a trapped animal is or may be submerged and prevented from resurfacing;(piège à noyade)
“hound” means(chien de chasse)
(a) a Bluetick, Redbone, English, Swiss, Plott, Black and Tan or Walker hound,
(b) a cross-breed between a Bluetick, Redbone, English, Swiss, Plott, Black and Tan or Walker hound and any of the hounds listed in this paragraph,
(c) a beagle, or
(d) a basset;
“killing trap” means a spring driven device designed and intended to kill an animal, including any jaw-type trap set as a drowning set for muskrat, but not including a snare or power snare as defined in subsection 4(0.1);(piège mortel)
“leg hold trap” means a spring driven device designed and intended to hold an animal by the leg with two clamping jaws;(piège à palette)
“lock seal bobcat tag” means a valid and subsisting lock seal bobcat tag issued under paragraph 4.01(8)(c);(étiquette à fermoir du chat sauvage d’Amérique)
“prepared pelt” means the skin of a fur bearing animal that has been permanently preserved by tanning or other treatment process, but does not include a skin that has been dried, salted or frozen unless the skin has also been tanned;(dépouille traitée)
“restraining trap” means a spring driven jaw-type trap intended to hold an animal by the leg and designed to prevent self-mutilation;(piège de rétention)
“running pole set” means a leaning pole that is secured to a tree at an incline and that has a trap or snare set on it;(installation de piégeage sur une perche)
“spring pole set” means a device intended to raise into the air an animal caught in a live holding device;(installation de piégeage enlevante)
“water base set” means a device incorporating or consisting of a trap or snare placed wholly or in part in or floating on water;(installation de piégeage sous l’eau)
“week” means a period of seven consecutive days commencing on and including Sunday.(semaine)
