25(1)After each election of a District Education Council, the District Education Council shall
(a)
hold its first regular meeting on or after the first day of July but no later than the fifteenth day of August following the date of its election, and
(b)
transact no business at the first regular meeting until the oaths of office
(i)
have been subscribed to by all the members of the District Education Council who present themselves for that purpose, and
(ii)
have been filed with the District Education Council.
25(2)The superintendent concerned shall preside at the first and second regular meeting of the District Education Council until a chair has been elected.
25(3)Despite paragraph (1)(a), the District Education Council elected in 2021 shall hold its first regular meeting during the month of August of the same year.
