Farm Improvement Assistance Loans Act

Under section 3 of the Farm Improvement Assistance Loans Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Regulation:

1This Regulation may be cited as the General Regulation - Farm Improvement Assistance Loans Act.
2In this Regulation
“Act” means the Farm Improvement Assistance Loans Act;(loi)
“Minister” means the Minister of Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries.(Ministre)

3For the purposes of calculation of the assistance payable under section 2 of the Act, the Minister may authorize the use of information provided by the Director as to:
(a) the name and address of each borrower;
(b) the original amount of the loan to each borrower and the principal balance not paid;
(c) the annual or other periodical payment on the capital of the loan; and
(d) the rate of interest and the amount of interest accrued.
4If a borrower fails to pay to the Director his calculated portion of an interest charge with respect to which assistance has been paid by the Minister, the Minister shall request from the Director a refund of such assistance paid or an equivalent credit to be applied against other assistance payable.
5Regulation 69-52 under the Farm Improvement Assistance Loans Act is repealed.
