REGULATION 77-72

Under section 15 of the Official Languages of New Brunswick Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Regulation:
Repealed: 2013-6
1In this Regulation, “regulation” means any regulation, proclamation, rule or order made under the authority of any statute of New Brunswick but does not include any by-law or resolution made by a local authority or by a company incorporated under the laws of the Province.
2(1)Sections 8 and 9 of the Official Languages of New Brunswick Act do not apply to a regulation
(a) that was made in only one of the official languages prior to the coming into force of this Regulation;
(b) that amends a regulation made in only one of the official languages prior to the coming into force of this Regulation, or
(c) that is made under the authority of an Act enacted in only one of the official languages.
3Every proposed regulation that is required to be published in the official languages, other than a proclamation, rule or order, shall, before it is made, be submitted to the Law Reform Division of the Department of Justice for preparation in the official languages.
4This Regulation comes into force on July 1, 1977.
