Under section 77 of the Community Planning Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister, makes the following Regulation:

1This Regulation may be cited as the Lac Baker Local Service District Basic Planning Statement Adoption Regulation - Community Planning Act.
2That area of land outlined in Schedule A, being the boundaries of the Lac Baker Local Service District in Lac Baker Parish, County of Madawaska, is designated for the purpose of adoption of a basic planning statement and is the area to which this Regulation applies.
3The Lac Baker Local Service District Basic Planning Statement contained in Schedule B is adopted for the Lac Baker Local Service District outlined in Schedule A.
SCHEDULE B
LAC BAKER LOCAL SERVICE DISTRICT BASIC PLANNING STATEMENT
The local service district of Lac Baker is situated around the Village of Lac Baker and has experienced considerable expansion during recent years.
Since the area is attracting a variety of developments it is important that future development take place in an orderly manner. Therefore, the area citizens’ committee believes that the residents of the area wish to protect the present development by means of a zoning regulation that reflects the development as it is today.
OBJECTIVES
The objectives for the future development of the Lac Baker Local Service District and the objectives to be accomplished by a zoning regulation are
(a) optimum population density,
(b) control over the type and location of different developments, and
(c) creation of an environment that will discourage all forms of water pollution.
N.B. This Regulation is consolidated to June 30, 2000.
