Salvage Dealers Licensing Act

1Section 3 of New Brunswick Regulation 84-107 under the Salvage Dealers Licensing Act is amended
(a) by repealing subsection (3) and substituting the following:
3(3)In addition to the information required under subsection 7(1) of the Act, the record referred to in subsection (1)
(a) shall indicate the licence number of the salvage dealer and the location of the salvage yard, and
(b) in the case of salvage referred to in subsection (5), shall further indicate the information that appears on a valid photo identification issued by the government of the Province or of another province or a territory of Canada to the person from whom the salvage was purchased or received.
(b) by adding after subsection (3) the following:
3(3.1)In addition to the information required under subsection 7(1) of the Act and subsection (3), in the case of a catalytic converter, the record referred to in subsection (1) shall indicate the registration number of the vehicle from which it came.
(c) in subsection (5)
(i) in paragraph (d) by striking out “and”;
(ii) in paragraph (e) by striking out the period at the end of the paragraph and substituting a semicolon followed by “and”;
(iii) by adding after paragraph (e) the following:
(f) catalytic converters.
2Subsection 4(2) of the Regulation is amended
(a) in the portion preceding paragraph a) of the French version by striking out “doit” and substituting “doit :”;
(b) in paragraph (b),
(i) by striking out the portion preceding subparagraph (i) of the French version and substituting the following:
(b) indiquer :
(ii) in subparagraph (ii) by striking out “and”;
(iii) in subparagraph (iii) by striking out “received, and” and substituting “received,”;
(iv) by adding after subparagraph (iii) the following:
(iv) in the case of salvage referred to in subsection 3(5), in addition to the information required under subparagraphs (i) to (iii), the information that appears on a valid photo identification issued by the government of the Province or of another province or a territory of Canada to the person from whom the salvage was purchased or received, and
(v) in the case of a catalytic converter, in addition to the information required under subparagraphs (i) to (iv), the registration number of the vehicle from which it came, and
3This Regulation comes into force on March 1, 2023.
