1Section 2 of New Brunswick Regulation 84-165 under the Electrical Installation and Inspection Act is amended
(a) in the definition “Code”
(i) in the portion preceding paragraph (a) by striking out “C22.1-18, Canadian Electrical Code, Part I (Twenty-fourth Edition),” and substituting “C22.1-21, Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, (25th Edition),”;
(ii) in paragraph (b.2) by striking out “Rule 26.712(e)” and substituting “Rule 26.724(e)”;
(b) in the definition “emergency repair” by adding after paragraph (b) the following:
(b.1) a meter-mounting device,
(c) in paragraph (d) of the definition “type III installation” by striking out “48, 52 or 68” and substituting “52, 64 or 68”.
2Subsection 16(5.2) of the Regulation is amended by repealing the portion preceding paragraph (a) and substituting the following:
16(5.2)When it is not possible for a wiring permit or a special wiring permit to be issued before an electrical contractor carries out an emergency repair, the electrical contractor may undertake to carry out the emergency repair without first obtaining the wiring permit or special wiring permit if the electrical contractor
3Section 21 of the Regulation is amended in the portion preceding paragraph (a) by striking out “alterations and extensions” and substituting “maintenance and alterations”.
4This Regulation comes into force on September 1, 2022.
