REGULATION 2020-22

Family Services Act

1Section 2 of New Brunswick Regulation 81-134 under the Family Services Act is amended
(a) in Form 3
(i) by repealing section 1 and substituting the following:
1.Term of Agreement
The child will be under the permanent guardianship of the Minister until the Minister transfers the guardianship of the child, until the child’s marriage, death or adoption or until the child reaches the age of majority.
(ii) in section 3 by adding after paragraph (b) the following: 
(c) The Parent(s) further acknowledge(s) that the Minister may transfer the guardianship of the child to a guardian and apply for a transfer of guardianship order without the consent of the Parent(s).
(b) by adding after Form 9 the attached Forms 9.1, 9.2 and 9.3.
2This Regulation comes into force on April 1, 2020.
