REGULATION 2020-15

Fish and Wildlife Act

1Section 13 of the French version of New Brunswick Regulation 84-124 under the Fish and Wildlife Act is amended
(a) in subsection (1) by repealing the portion following paragraph b) and substituting the following: 
les autorisant à chasser de nuit le raton laveur à l’aide d’un ou de plusieurs chiens de chasse conformément au paragraphe 33(2) de la Loi, pendant la saison de chasse nocturne au raton laveur, à l’aide d’un ou de plusieurs chiens de chasse et à l’aide d’une ou de plusieurs lampes, dans la zone d’aménagement pour la faune où le raton laveur est chassé.
(b) by repealing subsection (2) and substituting the following: 
13(2)Le permis délivré en vertu du paragraphe (1) n’autorise son titulaire qu’à chasser de nuit le raton laveur à l’aide d’un ou de plusieurs chiens de chasse et à l’aide d’une ou de plusieurs lampes si le Ministre agrée chaque chien de chasse utilisé par le titulaire du permis comme étant un chien courant.
(c) in subsection (4) by striking out “l’aide d’un chien de chasse ou d’une meute” and substituting “l’aide d’un ou de plusieurs chiens de chasse”.
2Section 14 of the French version of the Regulation is amended by striking out “à l’aide d’un chien de chasse ou d’une meute” and substituting “à l’aide d’un ou de plusieurs chiens de chasse”.
3Section 15 of the Regulation is amended
(a) in subsection (1) by striking out “a Swiss hound, a beagle, a basset or a cross-breed between a beagle and a basset” and substituting “a dog or dogs of any breed”;
(b) in subsection (2) in the French version by striking out “deux” and substituting “trois”.
4Section 16 of the French version of the Regulation is amended
(a) in paragraph a) by striking out “à l’aide d’un chien de chasse ou d’une meute” and substituting “à l’aide d’un ou de plusieurs chiens de chasse”;
(b) in paragraph b) by striking out “à l’aide d’un chien de chasse ou d’une meute” and substituting “à l’aide d’un ou de plusieurs chiens de chasse”.
5Section 16.1 of the Regulation is repealed and the following is substituted: 
16.1Despite section 13 of this Regulation and subject to subsection 33(2) of the Act, the Minister may issue a permit that entitles the holder to train either or both, at any time except at night,
(a) hounds to hunt bobcat and fox, and
(b) dogs of any breed to hunt rabbit (varying hare).
6Schedule B of the French version of the Regulation is amended under the heading “Activités” by striking out “chasse avec chien” and substituting “chasse avec chien de chasse”.
