1Section 2 of New Brunswick Regulation 84-170 under the Prescription Drug Payment Act is amended
(a) in the definition “participating provider”
(i) in subparagraph (b)(ii) by adding “or” at the end of the subparagraph;
(ii) by repealing paragraph (c);
(b) by repealing the definition “designated endocrinologist”.
2Subsection 3(6) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “a designated endocrinologist” and substituting “an endocrinologist”.
3Subsection 4(3) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “a designated endocrinologist” and substituting “an endocrinologist”.
4Subsection 5(4) of the Regulation is repealed and the following is substituted:
5(4)When the human growth hormone drug is an entitled service, a beneficiary who is suffering from growth hormone deficiency may receive reimbursement or have payment made on his or her behalf for the drug only if the beneficiary is registered with the department as suffering from this deficiency.
5Subsection 8(7) of the Regulation is repealed.
