1Section 2 of New Brunswick Regulation 2014-147 under the Elevators and Lifts Act is amended
(a) in subsection (1)
(i) in the definition “Code”
(A) by repealing paragraph (a) and substituting the following:
(a) subject to paragraph (a.1), in the case of elevators, dumbwaiters, escalators, material lifts and incline lifts, CSA Standard ASME A17.1-2010/CSA-B44-10, entitled Safety Code for Elevator Devices, except sections 5.3 and 5.4,
(B) by adding after paragraph (a) the following:
(a.1) in the case of existing installations of elevators, dumbwaiters, escalators, material lifts and incline lifts, ASME standard A17.3-2008, entitled Safety Code for Existing Elevators and Escalators, except Part 10,
(C) in paragraph (g) by striking out “CSA Standard C22.1-06, entitled Canadian Electrical Code, Part I (Twentieth Edition)” and substituting “CSA Standard C22.1-12, entitled Canadian Electrical Code, Part I (Twenty-second Edition)”;
(ii) in the definition “existing installation” by striking out “before June 1, 1961” and substituting “before January 1, 2000”;
(b) in subsection (3) of the English version by striking out “CSA Standard ASME” and substituting “CSA Standard”;
(c) by adding after subsection (5) the following:
2(6)For the purposes of this Regulation, Annex B of CSA Standard B355-09 is adopted as part of that Standard and as additional requirements to that Standard.
2Section 125 of the French version of the Regulation is amended by striking out “ACNOR” and substituting “ACN”.
3Section 135 of the French version of the Regulation is amended by striking out “ACNOR” and substituting “ACN”.
4Subsection 138(1) of the Regulation is amended by repealing the portion preceding paragraph (a) and substituting the following:
138(1)The Chief Inspector may issue a Certificate of Inspection to the owner of an amusement device if satisfied that an amusement device
