1Section 2 of New Brunswick Regulation 84-165 under the Electrical Installation and Inspection Act is amended by adding the following definition in alphabetical order:
“agent” includes an electrical contractor, electrician, sign installer contractor, sign installer and industrial instrument mechanic;(représentant)
2Subsection 5(2) of the Regulation is repealed and the following is substituted:
5(2)To facilitate an inspection or a re-inspection made under subsection (1), owners and their agents shall provide reasonable access to plant equipment and to business premises and shall make reasonable adjustments in operating or construction schedules as requested by an inspector at any time.
3Section 17 of the Regulation is amended
(a) in subsection (1) by striking out “the approval of three copies of a set of plans and specifications from the Chief Electrical Inspector” and substituting “the Chief Electrical Inspector’s approval of three copies of a set of plans and specifications that comply with the requirements of the Code and this Regulation”;
(b) by repealing subsection (4).
4This Regulation comes into force on August 1, 2014.
