1The enacting clause of New Brunswick Regulation 85-104 under the Parks Act is repealed and the following is substituted:
Under section 23 of the Parks Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Regulation:
2Section 22 the Regulation is amended
(a) by repealing subsection (3);
(b) by repealing subsection (4);
(c) in subsection (5) by striking out “or days or hours of use, as the case may be”.
3The Regulation is amended by adding after section 22.1 the following:
POOL FEES
22.2(1)The fee for the use of the swimming pool at de la République Provincial Park for one hour and 45 minutes is $2.50 per person for persons six years of age or older.
22.2(2)The fees for a seasonal pass for the use of the swimming pool at de la République Provincial Park are as follows:
(a) $40 per person for persons 6 to 18 years of age and students 19 years of age and over with student cards;
(b) $50 per person for persons 19 to 64 years of age; and
(c) $40 per person for senior citizens.
22.2(3)The fees payable under this section shall be paid in advance.
ANTIQUE AUTOMOBILE MUSEUM ADMISSION
22.3The daily fees for admission into the Antique Automobile Museum at de la République Provincial Park are as follows:
(a) $3.25 per person for persons 6 to 18 years of age;
(b) $4 per person for persons 19 to 64 years of age;
(c) $3.25 per person for senior citizens;
(d) $10 per family; and
(e) $3.25 per person for persons who are members of a bus tour.
4Paragraph 23(3.1)(a) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “$3” and substituting “$6”.
5Section 24.2 of the Regulation is amended
(a) by repealing subsection (2) and substituting the following:
24.2(2)The daily fees for use of the Sugarloaf Bike Park, including unlimited use of the chair lift, are as follows:
(a) $20 per person for persons 6 to 18 years of age and students 19 years of age and over with student cards; and
(b) $25 per person for all other persons 19 years of age and over.
24.2(2.1)The fees for a seasonal pass for use of the Sugarloaf Bike Park, including unlimited use of the chair lift are as follows:
(a) if the pass is purchased on or before April 15, $139 per person; and
(b) if the pass is purchased after April 15, $175 per person.
(b) by repealing subsection (4) and substituting the following:
24.2(4)The daily fees for a rental package that includes a mountain bike, a full face helmet and body armour, are as follows:
(a) $60 for persons 6 to 18 years of age and students 19 years of age and over with student cards; and
(b) $70 for all other persons 19 years of age and over.
(c) by adding after subsection (4) the following:
24.2(4.1)The daily fee for a rental package that includes a high performance mountain bike, a full face helmet and body armour are as follows:
(a) $80 for persons 6 to 18 years of age and students 19 years of age and over with student cards; and
(b) $90 for all other persons 19 years of age and over.
6The heading “MISCELLANEOUS RENTAL FEES” preceding section 24.3 is repealed and the following is substituted:
MISCELLANEOUS FEES
7Section 24.3 of the Regulation is amended
(a) by repealing subsection (2) and substituting the following:
24.3(2)The rental fees payable for a canoe at Mount Carleton Provincial Park are as follows:
(a) $30 per canoe for a four hour period; and
(b) $40 per canoe for a full day.
(b) by adding after subsection (2) the following:
24.3(2.1)The fee payable for a season of ice fishing at Mount Carleton Provincial Park is $50 per shelter.
(c) by adding after subsection (4) the following:
24.3(5)The following fees are payable at any provincial park in which the facility or service is available:
(a) for parking a recreational vehicle from the close of one season to the opening of the next season, $290 per recreational vehicle;
(b) for disposal of sewage at a dumping station facility, $10 per disposal; and
(c) for renting a kitchen shelter, $50 per day.
8The Regulation is amended by adding after section 24.3 the following:
EXPLORER PASS
24.4(1) The fee payable for an Explorer Pass is $60 and is tax inclusive.
24.4(2) An Explorer Pass entitles the holder to the following:
(a) one daily vehicle entrance permit for
(i) Murray Beach Provincial Park,
(ii) New River Beach Provincial Park, and
(iii) Parlee Beach Provincial Park;
(b) one family admission to
(i) the Antique Automobile Museum at de la République Provincial Park, and
(ii) The Rocks Provincial Park;
(c) nine holes of play at the Herring Cove Provincial Park Golf Course;
(d) eighteen holes of play at the Mactaquac Provincial Park Golf Course;
(e) one canoe rental for a four hour period at Mount Carleton Provincial Park;
(f) one full day of use of the Sugarloaf Bike Park at Sugarloaf Provincial Park; and
(g) one bundle of firewood at The Anchorage Provincial Park.
24.4(3)An Explorer Pass is not transferable and shall expire on March 31 of each year.
9Section 28.1 of the Regulation is repealed and the following is substituted:
28.1The fees set out in sections 22, 22.2, 22.323, 24, 24.01, 24.1, 24.2, 24.3, 25, 26 and 27.11 and in Schedules B, C and D are tax inclusive.
10Schedule B of the Regulation is repealed and the attached Schedule B is substituted.
11Schedule C of the Regulation is repealed and the attached Schedule C is substituted.
12Schedule D of the Regulation is repealed and the attached Schedule D is substituted.
13(1)Subject to subsection (2), this Regulation comes into force on April 1, 2013.
13(2)Sections 4 , 8 and 12 of this Regulation come into force on June 22, 2012.
