1Section 2 of New Brunswick Regulation 94-47 under the Fish and Wildlife Act is amended by repealing the definition “arrow fitted with a broad head”.
2Section 10 of the Regulation is amended
(a) in subsection (2)
(i) in paragraph (b) striking out “and” at the end of the paragraph;
(ii) in paragraph (c) by striking out the period at the end of the paragraph and substituting a comma followed by “and”;
(iii) by adding after paragraph (c) the following:
(d) provides proof that the applicant successfully completed in the Province a bow hunter education course approved by the Minister, if the applicant wishes to hunt with a bow or a crossbow.
(b) in subsection (4)
(i) in paragraph (a) striking out “and” at the end of the paragraph;
(ii) in paragraph (b) by striking out the period at the end of the paragraph and substituting a comma followed by “and”;
(iii) by adding after paragraph (b) the following:
(c) provides proof that the applicant successfully completed in the Province a bow hunter education course approved by the Minister, if the applicant wishes to hunt with a bow or a crossbow.
(c) in subsection (5)
(i) in the portion preceding paragraph (a) by striking out “Paragraphs (2)(c) and (4)(b)” and substituting “Paragraphs (2)(c) and (d) and (4)(b) and (c)”;
(ii) by repealing paragraph (a) and substituting the following:
(a) provides proof satisfactory to the Minister that the applicant successfully completed in another province or territory of Canada or a state of the United States of America
(i) a firearm safety and hunter education course recognized by the Minister, or
(ii) a bow hunter education course recognized by the Minister, if the applicant wishes to hunt with a bow or a crossbow, or
3Section 10.1 of the Regulation is amended
(a) in subsection (2)
(i) in paragraph (c) of the English version by striking out “and” at the end of the paragraph;
(ii) by adding the after paragraph (c) the following:
(c.1) provides proof that the person designated under subsection (1) successfully completed in the Province a bow hunter education course approved by the Minister, if the person designated wishes to hunt with a bow or a crossbow, and
(b) in subsection (3.3)
(i) in paragraph (c) of the English version by striking out “and” at the end of the paragraph;
(ii) by adding the after paragraph (c) the following:
(c.1) provides proof that the person designated under paragraph (3)(b) successfully completed in the Province a bow hunter education course approved by the Minister, if the person designated wishes to hunt with a bow or a crossbow, and
(c) in subsection (3.5)
(i) in the portion preceding paragraph (a) by striking out “Paragraphs (2)(c) and (3.3)(c)” and substituting “Paragraphs (2)(c) and (c.1) and (3.3)(c) and (c.1)”;
(ii) in paragraph (a) of the English version by striking out “or” at the end of the paragraph;
(iii) by adding the following after paragraph (a):
(a.1) provides proof satisfactory to the Minister that the person designated under subsection (1) or paragraph (3)(b) successfully completed in another province or territory of Canada or a state of the United States of America, a bow hunter education course recognized by the Minister, if the person designated wishes to hunt with a bow or a crossbow, or
4Section 16.1 of the Regulation is repealed.
5Subsection 20(3) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “bows and arrows” and substituting “bows or crossbows”.
6This Regulation comes into force on September 1, 2011.
