1Section 23 of New Brunswick Regulation 84-165 under the Electrical Installation and Inspection Act is amended
(a) by adding before subsection (1) the following:
23(0.1)In this section, “overtime” means time worked on a Saturday or holiday and any time worked after 5:00 p.m. of any day and before 8:00 a.m. of the following day.
(b) in subsection (1)
(i) in paragraph (a) by striking out “$400.00” and substituting “$400”;
(ii) in paragraph (b) by striking out “$250.00” and substituting “$250”;
(c) in subsection (2)
(i) in paragraph (a) by striking out “$40.00” and substituting “$50”;
(ii) in paragraph (b) by striking out “$40.00” and substituting “$50”;
(iii) in paragraph (c) by striking out “$40.00” and substituting “$50”;
(d) in subsection (2.1) by striking out “$100.00” and substituting “$100”;
(e) in subsection (2.2)
(i) in paragraph (a) by striking out “$100.00” and substituting “$100”;
(ii) in paragraph (b) by striking out “$35.00” and substituting “$50”;
(f) in subsection (3) by striking out “$40.00” and substituting “$50”;
(g) in subsection (3.1) by striking out “$35.00” and substituting “$50”;
(h) by repealing subsection (5) and substituting the following:
23(5)Subject to subsection (6.1), the charge for a special inspection of an electrical installation is $100 per hour or any part of an hour, with a minimum charge of $100.
(i) in subsection (6)
(i) in the portion preceding paragraph (a), by striking out “The charge” and substituting “Subject to subsection (6.1), the charge”;
(ii) in paragraph (a) by striking out “$100.00” and substituting “$100 per hour or any part of an hour, with a minimum charge of $100”;
(iii) in paragraph (b) by striking out “$250.00” and substituting “$100 per hour or any part of an hour, with a minimum charge of $100”;
(iv) in paragraph (c) by striking out “$350.00” and substituting “$100 per hour or any part of an hour, with a minimum charge of $100”;
(j) by adding after subsection (6) the following:
23(6.1)The fees under subsections (5) and (6) shall be $150 per hour or any part of an hour for inspections done during overtime, with a minimum charge of $150.
(k) in subsection (7)
(i) in paragraph (a) by striking out “$175.00” and substituting “$200”;
(ii) in paragraph (b) by striking out “$175.00” and substituting “$200”;
(iii) in paragraph (c) by striking out “$300.00” and substituting “$300”;
(iv) in paragraph (d) by striking out “$300.00” and substituting “$300”;
(v) in paragraph (e) by striking out “$400.00” and substituting “$400”;
(l) by repealing subsection (7.1) and substituting the following:
23(7.1)The charge for a special wiring permit for an emergency repair or for meter detachment and reattachment for siding installation is $50.
(m) in subsection (8)
(i) in paragraph (a)
(A) in subparagraph (i) by striking out “$50.00” and substituting “$60”;
(B) in subparagraph (ii) by striking out “$50.00” and substituting “$60”;
(C) in subparagraph (iii) by striking out “$100.00” and substituting “$125”;
(D) in subparagraph (iv) by striking out “$100.00” and substituting “$125”;
(E) in subparagraph (v) by striking out “$150.00” and substituting “$175”;

(d) for type III installations in excess of 50 K.V.A., $1.65 per K.V.A for the first 1 000 K.V.A., then $1 per K.V.A. thereafter;
(v) in paragraph (e) by striking out “$40.00” and substituting “$115”;
(vi) in paragraph (f)
(A) in subparagraph (i) by striking out “$75.00” and substituting “$75”;
(B) in subparagraph (ii) by striking out “$75.00 for the first sign plus $10.00” and substituting “$75 for the first sign plus $10”.
2This Regulation comes into force on April 1, 2011.
