Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Act

Subsection 9(3) of New Brunswick Regulation 97-125 under the
Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Act
is repealed and the following is substituted:

An apprenticeship agreement shall remain in effect for at least one year.

The heading “Apprenticeship year” preceding section 12 of the Regulation is repealed and the following is substituted “Credit for time spent in technical training”.

Section 12 of the Regulation is repealed and the following is substituted:

At the discretion of the Director, time spent by an apprentice attending technical training set out in a plan of apprenticeship for a designated occupation may be counted toward the hours of on-the-job training and work experience required for that occupation.

Subsection 13(2) of the Regulation is repealed.
