Pre-arranged Funeral Services Act

1Section 3 of New Brunswick Regulation 94-122 under the Pre-arranged Funeral Services Act is amended
(a) in the portion preceding paragraph (a) of the French version by striking out “titulaire d’un permis” and substituting “fournisseur de services funèbres autorisé”;
(b) in paragraph (a) of the English version by striking out “licensee” and substituting “licensed funeral provider”;
(c) in paragraph (b) of the English version by striking out “licensee” and substituting “licensed funeral provider”.
2Subsection 4(1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “licensee” wherever it appears and substituting “licensed funeral provider”.
3Section 5 of the Regulation is amended
(a) in subsection (3) by striking out “licensee” and substituting “licensed funeral provider”;
(b) in subsection (4) by striking out “licensee” and substituting “licensed funeral provider”.
4Section 9 of the Regulation is amended
(a) by repealing subsection (1);
(b) by repealing subsection (2).
5Section 10 of the Regulation is amended
(a) by repealing subsection (1);
(b) by repealing subsection (2) and substituting the following:
10(2)A licensed funeral provider shall, whether or not a levy referred to in subsection 9(3) is payable, submit a report to the Board indicating, for each quarter of the calendar year, the number of pre-arranged funeral plans entered into during the quarter.
(c) in subsection (3) by striking out “licensee” and substituting “licensed funeral provider”.
6Section 13 of the Regulation is amended
(a) in paragraph (c) by striking out “licensee” and substituting “licensed funeral provider”;
(b) in paragraph (d) by striking out “licensee” and substituting “licensed funeral provider”.
7Paragraph 14(a) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “licensees” and substituting “licensed funeral providers”.
8Section 15 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “licensee” and substituting “licensed funeral provider”.
9This Regulation comes into force on July 31, 2010.
