1Section 6 of New Brunswick Regulation 86-32 under the Financial Administration Act is amended
(a) by adding the following after subsection (1):
6(1.1)Despite subsection (1), the fee for the services provided at the Department’s Veterinary Clinic, located at the Veterinary Center in Fredericton, New Brunswick, for a food-producing or fur-producing animal, or for a horse or an animal that normally is confined in a zoo or wildlife park is the sum of the following:
(a) $49 for each 15 minute period or portion of a 15 minute period spent by the veterinarian for examining, treating or performing surgery on the animal;
(b) for radiographic plates, $40 per plate;
(c) for thermal imaging, $150 per examination;
(d) for shock wave therapy, $150 per treatment;
(e) the cost of medication, vaccines, anaesthesia and other materials and services provided as well as applicable fees for laboratory tests and clinic services; and
(f) if the veterinarian’s services are provided after 4:00 p.m. and before 7:30 a.m. on Monday to Friday, inclusive, or on Saturday, Sunday or a holiday, including Boxing Day, an overtime fee of
(i) for the period ending March 31, 2010, $40; and
(ii) on or after April 1, 2010, $42.
(b) by repealing subsection (2) and substituting the following:
6(2)The fee for hospitalization of an animal is $30 per day or any portion of a day.
2This Regulation comes into force June 1, 2009.
