REGULATION 2009-34

Motor Vehicle Act

1Paragraph 5(a) of New Brunswick Regulation 83-42 under the Motor Vehicle Act is amended by striking out “$25.00” and substituting “$30.00”.
2Section 13 of the Regulation is amended
(a) in subsection (1) by striking out “fifteen dollars” and substituting “$25.00”;
(b) by repealing subsection (4) and substituting the following:
13(4)Where a set of special conservation licence plates is issued as part of a registration transaction under sections 3 to 11, the fee payable on the issuance of each such set of plates shall consist of
(a) twenty-five dollars for the issuance of the set of plates, and
(b) seven dollars to be deposited in accordance with subsection (6).
3Section 15 of the Regulation is amended
(a) in subsection (2) by striking out “$9.00” and substituting “$20.00”;
(b) in subsection (3)
(i) in paragraph (a) by striking out “$9.00” and substituting “$20.00”;
(ii) in subparagraph (c)(ii) by striking out “$15.00” and substituting “$25.00”;
(c) in paragraph (4)(b) by striking out “$15.00” and substituting “$25.00”;
(d) in subsection (6)
(i) in paragraph (b) by striking out “$9.00”and substituting “$20.00”;
(ii) in paragraph (c) by striking out “$9.00” and substituting “$20.00”;
(e) by repealing subsection (15) and substituting the following:
15(15)The examination fee pursuant to subsection 89(3) of the Act shall include
(a) a written examination fee of $25,
(b) for passenger vehicles, a road test examination fee of $25, and
(c) for commercial vehicles, a road test examination fee of $50.
(f) in subsection (16) by striking out “$14.00” and substituting “$15.00”;
(g) in subsection (20) by striking out “$50.00” and substituting “$65.00”.
4This Regulation comes into force on April 1, 2009.
