80(1)Immediately after the preliminary lists of electors are prepared for an electoral district, the Chief Electoral Officer shall prepare a statement setting out the total number of electors entered on the lists for that electoral district and shall provide a copy of the statement to the official agent of each candidate in the electoral district.

80(2)For the purposes of sections 77 and 78, the number of electors in an electoral district shall be deemed to be the number set out in a statement prepared in accordance with subsection (1).

80(3)During a general election, the Chief Electoral Officer shall determine the total number of electors entered on preliminary lists of electors in the Province from the statements prepared in accordance with subsection (1) and shall prepare a certificate of that number, which he or she shall publish in The Royal Gazette after copies of it have been filed with the chief agent of each registered political party.

80(1)Forthwith after the preliminary list of electors is filed with him by the enumerators for an electoral district, the returning officer for that district shall prepare a certificate setting out the total number of electors entered on the list, for that district, and shall file such certificate with the Chief Electoral Officer and a copy thereof with the official agent of each candidate in his district.

80(2)For the purposes of section 77 and 78, the number of electors in an electoral district shall be deemed to be the number set out in a certificate described in subsection (1).

80(3)During a general election, the Chief Electoral Officer shall determine the total number of electors entered on preliminary lists of electors in the Province from the certificates filed by the returning officers pursuant to subsection (1) and shall prepare his certificate of such number which he shall cause to be published in The Royal Gazette after he has filed copies of it with the chief agent of each registered political party.
