G-1.5 - Gaming Control Act

Registrar of Gaming Control
28(1)There shall be a Registrar of Gaming Control, who shall be an employee in the Department of Justice and Public Safety and who shall be appointed by the Minister.
28(2)The Registrar of Gaming Control
(a) has the supervision and direction of the work of employees in the branch responsible for gaming control,
(b) may engage such professionals, technical or other experts or other persons to advise the Registrar on any matter upon such terms and conditions as the Minister considers appropriate,
(c) shall advise the Minister of any urgent, critical or relevant matters that are likely to require action by the Minister to ensure that this Act is administered properly, and
(d) shall advise the Minister on any matter the Minister may refer to the Registrar relating to the administration of this Act.
