Three day deductible
11(1)The Commission shall not pay any compensation until the firefighter or former firefighter has not received any remuneration from his or her employer or from any employment-related source or any income replacement or supplement benefit from any source for a period of time that is equivalent to 3 working days.
11(2)Subsection (1) does not apply if the firefighter or former firefighter
(a) is admitted to a hospital facility as an in-patient as a result of the heart attack or prescribed disease, or
(b) is disabled from the heart attack or prescribed disease for more than 20 working days.
