65(1)A majority of the members of council constitutes a quorum.
65(2)The number of members of council is:
(a)
in the case of a local government that is not divided into wards for election purposes, the number of members of council under
(i)
subsection 43(1),
(ii)
a regulation effecting an incorporation, amalgamation, annexation or a decrease in territorial limits of the local government, or
(iii)
a by-law made under subsection 43(2); and
(b)
in the case of a local government that is divided into wards for election purposes, the number of members of council under
(i)
subsection 44(1),
(ii)
a regulation effecting an incorporation, amalgamation, annexation or a decrease in territorial limits of the local government, or
(iii)
a by-law made under subsection 44(2).
65(3)For the purposes of calculating a quorum, the number of members of council under subsection (2) shall be used regardless of whether there are any vacancies on the council.
