Under section 63 of the Early Childhood Services Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Regulation:
Citation
1This Regulation may be cited as the Programs for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder Regulation – Early Childhood Services Act.
Eligibility criteria
2(1)A child diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder shall be eligible to receive evidence-based interventions, including applied behavioural analysis and intensive behavioural intervention, until the day the child is required to attend school under
(a) paragraph 15(1)(a) of the Education Act, or
(b) subsection 15(2) of the Education Act, if the child’s attendance at school is deferred under that subsection.
2(2)Subsection (1) applies despite the fact that the child may not be required to attend school under section 16 of the Education Act.
Commencement
3This Regulation comes into force on February 1, 2018.
