CHAPTER D-6.5
Demise of the Crown Act
Assented to May 1, 2009
Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:
Effect of demise
1
When there is a demise of the Crown,
(
a
)
the demise does not affect the holding of any office under the Crown, and
(
b
)
it is not necessary for the holder of any such office who has taken an oath of office or allegiance before the demise to retake that oath.
REPEAL
Repeal
2
The Demise of the Crown Act, chapter D-6 of the Revised Statutes, 1973, is repealed.
N.B.
This Act is consolidated to May 1, 2009.
