Validity of letters patent and land grants
1All letters patent, and grants of lands, tenements and hereditaments, lying and being within this Province, made and passed under the Great Seal of the Province of Nova Scotia, before January 3, 1786, which, or a copy of which, duly attested and authenticated, by and under the hand of the registrar of the Province of Nova Scotia, or exemplified under the Great Seal of the Province of Nova Scotia, were, before January 3, 1786, entered and registered in the office of the Secretary and Registrar of the records of this Province, shall be valid and effectual for the uses and purposes mentioned in them, and all such letters patent and grants not so entered and registered shall be null and void and of no effect in law.
