Under section 38 of the Highway Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister, makes the following Regulation:

1This Regulation may be cited as the Controlled Access Highways in Kings County Regulation - Highway Act.
2The highways or portions of highways in Kings County in Schedule A are designated as controlled access highways under the categories specified in the Schedule.
3This Regulation comes into force on August 15, 1994.
SCHEDULE A
KINGS COUNTY
PART I - Route 1
Route 1 - Saint John/Kings County Line to Kings/Westmorland County Line
1All that portion of Route 1 from the boundary between Saint John County and Kings County to the boundary between Kings County and Westmorland County located in Rothesay Parish, Hampton Parish, Norton Parish, Sussex Parish, Cardwell Parish and Studholm Parish, Kings County, designated as a level I controlled access highway and being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Route 1 and the boundary between Saint John County and Kings County; thence in an easterly direction along the centre line of Route 1 for a distance of approximately 91.863 km to the boundary between Kings County and Westmorland County, including all existing and future interchange or at grade intersection ramps and on and off lanes including tapers on all connecting highways.

Fox Farm Road
2All those portions of Fox Farm Road located in Rothesay Parish, Kings County, designated as a level III controlled access highway and being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Fox Farm Road and the centre of the grade separation for Route 1; thence in a westerly direction along the centre line of Fox Farm Road for a distance of 100 m, and
Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Fox Farm Road and the centre of the grade separation for Route 1; thence in an easterly direction along the centre line of Fox Farm Road for a distance of 99 m.

Route 111 - Interchange (Rothesay)
3All that portion of the ramp located in Rothesay Parish, Kings County, designated as a level III controlled access highway and being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of the ramp and the centre of the median for Route 1; thence in a westerly direction along the centre line of the travelled portion of the ramp for a distance of approximately 212 m to the intersection of the centre lines of the travelled portions of the ramp and Campbell Drive.

4All that portion of Palmer Brook Road located in Rothesay Parish, Kings County, designated as a level III controlled access highway and being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Palmer Brook Road and the centre of the median for Route 1; thence in a northerly direction along the centre line of Palmer Brook Road for a distance of 270 metres.
Route 100 - Hall Road at Hampton
5All those portions of Route 100 located in Hampton Parish, Kings County, designated as a level III controlled access highway and being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Route 100 and the centre of the median for Route 1; thence in an easterly direction along the centre line of Route 100 for a distance of 271 m to the intersection of the travelled portions of Route 100 and Villa Drive, and
Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Route 100 and the centre of the median for Route 1; thence in an westerly direction along the centre line of Route 100 for a distance of 881 m to the intersection of the travelled portions of Route 100 and Route 121.

Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Bloomfield Ridge South Road and the centre of the median for Route 1; thence in a northwesterly direction along the centre line of Bloomfield Ridge South Road for a distance of 275 metres.

Route 865
8All that portion of Route 865 located in Norton Parish, Kings County, designated as a level III controlled access highway on the east side and a level IV access controlled highway on the west side of Route 865 and being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Route 865 and the centre of the median for Route 1; thence in a southerly direction along the centre line of Route 865 for a distance of 230 metres.

Route 121 at Town of Sussex
9All those portions of Route 121 located in Sussex Parish, Kings County, designated as a level III controlled access highway and being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Route 121 and the centre of the median for Route 1; thence in an easterly direction along the centre line of Route 121 for a distance of approximately 304 m to the intersection of the centre lines of the travelled portions of Route 121 and Lower Cove Road.

Riverview East Drive at Town of Sussex
10All that portion of Riverview East Drive located in Sussex Parish, Kings County, designated as a level III controlled access highway on the east side and a level IV controlled access highway on the west side of Riverview East Drive and being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the point on the centre line of the travelled portion of Riverview East Drive that is 190 metres south of the intersection of the centre lines of the travelled portions of Route 121 and Riverview East Drive; thence in a southerly direction along the centre line of Riverview East Drive for a distance of 130 metres.

Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Marble Street and the centre of the median for Route 1; thence in a southerly direction along the centre line of Marble Street for a distance of 130 m.

Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Route 111 and the centre of the grade separation for Route 1; thence in a southerly direction along the centre line of Route 111 for a distance of approximately 194 m to the intersection of the centre lines of the travelled portions of Route 111 and Earnhardt Road.

15All those portions of Route 114 located near Penobsquis, Cardwell Parish, Kings County, designated as a level III controlled access highway and being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Route 114 and the centre of the median for Route 1; thence in a northwesterly direction along the centre line of Route 114 for a distance of 180 m, and
Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Route 114 and the centre of the median for Route 1; thence in a southeasterly direction along the centre line of Route 114 for a distance of 170 m.

16All that portion of Anagance Ridge Road located in Cardwell Parish, Kings County, designated as a level III controlled access highway and being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Anagance Ridge Road and the centre of the median for Route 1; thence in a northerly direction along the centre line of Anagance Ridge Road for a distance of approximately 200 metres to the intersection of the centre lines of the travelled portions of Anagance Ridge Road and a property access road extending easterly.
Route 895
17All that portion of Route 895 located in Cardwell Parish, Kings County, designated as a level III controlled access highway and being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Route 895 and the centre of the median for Route 1; thence in a southerly direction along the centre line of Route 895 for a distance of 175 metres.

Route 2 - Queens/Kings County Line to Kings/Westmorland County Line
18All that portion of Route 2 from the boundary between Queens County and Kings County to the boundary between Kings County and Westmorland County located in Studholm Parish and Havelock Parish, Kings County, designated as a level I controlled access highway and being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Route 2 and the boundary between Queens County and Kings County; thence in an easterly direction along the centre line of Route 2 for a distance of approximately 23.716 km to the boundary between Kings County and Westmorland County, including all existing and future interchange or at grade intersection ramps and on and off lanes including tapers on all connecting highways.

Route 7 – Queens/Kings County Line to Kings/Saint John County Line

Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Route 7 and the boundary between Queens County and Kings County; thence in a southerly direction along the centre line of Route 7 for a distance of approximately 16.744 km to the boundary between Kings County and Saint John County, including all existing and future interchange or at grade intersection ramps and on and off lanes including tapers on all connecting highways.

Beginning at the intersection of the centre of the grade separation structure for Route 177 and the centre of the travelled portion of Route 7; thence in an easterly direction along the centre line of Route 177 for a distance of approximately 197 m.

Beginning at the intersection of the centre lines of the travelled portions of Route 102 and the centre of the grade separation for Route 7; thence in a northeasterly direction along the centre line of Route 102 for a distance of approximately 1.219 km to the intersection of Route 102 and Route 177.

Beginning at the intersection of the centre lines of the travelled portions of Kingdom Road and the centre of the grade separation for Route 7; thence in a southerly direction along the centre line of Kingdom Road for a distance of 142 m.

Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Colonel Nase Boulevard and the centre of the grade separation for Route 7; thence in a westerly direction along the centre line of Colonel Nase Boulevard for a distance of approximately 147 m to the property access road going in a northwesterly direction, and
Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Colonel Nase Boulevard and the centre of the grade separation for Route 7; thence in an easterly direction along the centre line of Colonel Nase Boulevard for a distance of 228 m.

Route 10 – Route 1 interchange near Sussex
22All those portions of Route 10 located in Studholm Parish, Kings County, designated as a level III controlled access highway on the northeast side and a level IV controlled access highway on the southwest side and being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Route 10 and the centre of the median of Route 1; thence in a northwesterly direction along the centre line of Route 10 for a distance of approximately 92 metres, including all existing and future interchange or at grade intersection ramps and on and off lanes including tapers on all connecting highways, and
Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Route 10 and the centre of the median of Route 1; thence in a southeasterly direction along the centre line of Route 10 for a distance of approximately 388 metres to the end of Route 10, including all existing and future interchange or at grade intersection ramps and on and off lanes including tapers on all connecting highways.

Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Route 111 and the centre of the median for Route 1; thence in a southerly direction along the centre line of Route 111 for a distance of approximately 3.168 km to the boundary between Kings County and Saint John County, including all existing and future interchange or at grade intersection ramps and on and off lanes including tapers on all connecting highways.

Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of French Village Road and the centre of the grade separation for Route 111; thence in a northerly direction along the centre line of French Village Road for a distance of 160 m, and
Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of French Village Road and the centre of the grade separation for Route 111; thence in a southerly direction along the centre line of French Village Road for a distance of 150 m.

Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the travelled portion of Route 119 and the centre of the grade separation for the eastbound lanes of Route 1; thence in a northerly direction along the centre line of Route 119 for a distance of approximately 5.698 km to the Ferry Landing at the Kennebecasis River, including all existing and future interchange or at grade intersection ramps and on and off lanes including tapers on all connecting highways.
