REGULATION 92-95

Retirement Plan Beneficiaries Act

  Under section 12 of the Retirement Plan Beneficiaries Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Regulation:

1This Regulation may be cited as the General Regulation - Retirement Plan Beneficiaries Act.
2In this Regulation
“Act” means the Retirement Plan Beneficiaries Act.
3The following are plans for the purposes of the Act:
(a) a retirement savings plan as defined in the Income Tax Act (Canada);
(b) a retirement income fund as defined in the Income Tax Act (Canada); and
(c) a tax-free savings account, also known as a TFSA as defined in the Income Tax Act (Canada).

4This Regulation comes into force on July 1, 1992.
