Under section 19 of the Inshore Fisheries Representation Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Regulation:
2018-38
1This Regulation may be cited as the Characteristics of Inshore Boats Regulation - Inshore Fisheries Representation Act.
2 An inshore boat shall have the following characteristics:
(a) in Region 1 and Region 2 it
(i) has a length of less than 15.2 metres (50 feet),
(ii) is used mainly for fishing lobster or herring,
(iii) is not used more than occasionally for fishing smelt, rock crab, tuna, mackerel, capelin, Irish moss, scallops, sea urchin, dogfish or groundfish, and
(iv) is not a crab boat, shrimp boat or super-44 groundfish boat;
(b) in Region 3, it has a length of not more than 15.2 metres (50 feet); and
(c) in Region 4 it
(i) has a length of not more than 15.2 metres (50 feet), and
(ii) is used mainly for fishing lobster.
