REGULATION 83-5
under the
Agricultural Associations Act
(O.C. 83-34)

Under section 6 of the Agricultural Associations Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Regulation:
Repealed: 2017, c.55, s.2
1This Regulation may be cited as the Provincial Farmers Association Regulation - Agricultural Associations Act.
2In this Regulation
“Act” means the Agricultural Associations Act.(loi)
3Membership in the Provincial farmers association shall be limited to the following organizations:
(a) the New Brunswick Cattle Producers’ Association;
(b) the New Brunswick Chicken Marketing Board;
(c) the New Brunswick Cream Marketing Board;
(d) the New Brunswick Dairy Goat Association;
(e) the New Brunswick Egg Producers’ Association;
(f) the New Brunswick Fruit Growers’ Association;
(g) the New Brunswick Greenhouse Products Marketing Board;
(h) the New Brunswick Hog Marketing Board;
(i) the New Brunswick Livestock Council;
(j) the New Brunswick Milk Marketing Board;
(k) the New Brunswick Potato Agency;
(l) the New Brunswick Pork Producers’ Association;
(m) the New Brunswick Poultry Council;
(n) the New Brunswick Strawberry Growers’ Association;
(o) the New Brunswick Turkey Marketing Board; and
(p) the New Brunswick Vegetable Growers’ Association;
and such other farm organizations of promotional or policy-making character as may, from time to time, be recommended for membership by the association and approved by the Lieutenant-Governor in Council.
4Application for incorporation of the Provincial farmers association may be made to the Lieutenant-Governor in Council in Form 1 by any three organizations eligible for membership in the proposed association.
5The Provincial farmers association incorporated under the Act shall have the following objects:
(a) to promote all branches of agriculture through the encouragement of education, cooperation and pertinent legislation;
(b) to represent the farm people of New Brunswick and speak on their behalf;
(c) to convene annually, and from time to time, the official representatives of member organizations for the purpose of discussing matters relative to the advancement of agriculture; and
(d) to affiliate with other provincial or national organizations having similar purposes and objects.
6Letters patent of incorporation under the Great Seal for the incorporation of a Provincial farmers association shall be in Form 2.
7Regulation 6, Statutory Orders and Regulations, 1963, under the Agricultural Associations Act is repealed.
