“Act” means the Fire Prevention Act;(loi)
“automatic fire-extinguishing system” means a system that is designed and installed to detect a fire and subsequently discharge, without manual activation or direction, any liquid, powder or gas usable for the purpose of suppressing or extinguishing fires, and provides fire protection for grease removal devices, hoods, duct systems and cooking equipment in commercial buildings;(installation dextinction automatique)
“fixed fire extinguisher” Repealed: 2008-75
“portable fire extinguisher” means a portable appliance, apparatus, container or device

(a)
that is designed to be or is capable of being carried by hand or moved on wheels,
(b)
that may be operated by hand, and
(c)
that contains or produces any liquid, powder or gas that can be expelled under pressure for the purpose of suppressing or extinguishing fires;
“servicing” includes testing, inspecting, maintaining, repairing, filling, charging, refilling and recharging;(entretien)
