Under subsection 5(1) of the Executive Council Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Regulation:

1This Regulation may be cited as the Designation Regulation - Executive Council Act.

2(1)The Premier may designate the member or members of the Executive Council who are to act in the place and stead of the Premier or any other member of the Executive Council who is ill or absent from the Province.
2(2)If the Premier is ill or absent from the Province, any member of the Executive Council designated under subsection (1) to act in the place and stead of the Premier may designate the member or members of the Executive Council who are to act in the place and stead of that member or any other member of the Executive Council who is ill or absent from the Province.

3A designation under section 2 shall be filed with the Clerk of the Executive Council.
