Under section 67 of the Highway Act, the Minister, with the approval of the Lieutenant-Governor in Council, makes the following Regulation:
1This Regulation may be cited as the Use of Highways Regulation - Highway Act.

FARM CROSSINGS
3(1)The Minister may install two crossings, where the dwellings consist of a house, barn and outbuildings, and one crossing, where the dwellings are situated on a small lot consisting of one-fifth hectares or less.
3(2)The maximum length of each crossing referred to in subsection (1) shall be such as to allow for a driveway of six metres in width.
3(3)At stores, service stations and public garages only one crossing, having a maximum length of twelve metres, may be installed.
3(3.1)Notwithstanding subsection (3), more than one crossing, each having a maximum length of twelve metres, may be installed at stores, service stations and public garages upon the approval of the Minister and upon such terms and conditions as the Minister may specify.

4No pole shall be placed on any highway at a distance greater than one and one-half metres from the right of way boundary, unless permission is received in writing from the Minister or the Chief Highway Engineer.
5No wire shall be placed over the highway unless such wire is designed and maintained with a vertical clearance, at maximum sag, of 4.72 metres.
6No gas or water main shall be laid on, over or under any highway at a distance greater than one and one-half metres from the right of way boundary, unless permission is received in writing from the Minister or the Chief Highway Engineer.
7Regulation 77, Statutory Orders and Regulations, 1963, under the Highway Act is repealed.
