Under section 283 of the Credit Unions Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Regulation:
Citation
1This Regulation may be cited as the Deposit Insurance Regulation – Credit Unions Act.
Definition of “Act”
2 In this Regulation, “Act” means the Credit Unions Act.
Maximum amount of deposit insurance
3For the purposes of subsection 201(1) of the Act, the Corporation shall insure each deposit of a member of a credit union to a maximum amount of $250,000.
Commencement
4This Regulation comes into force on January 1, 2020.
