Under section 45 of the Official Languages Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Regulation:
Citation
1This Regulation may be cited as the General Regulation – Official Languages Act.
Definition of “Act”
2In this Regulation, “Act” means the Official Languages Act.
Public service
3For the purposes of the definition “public service” in section 1 of the Act, the portions or divisions of the Public Service are those specified in Part 1 of the First Schedule of the Public Service Labour Relations Act.
Offence
2016-74
4A person who violates or fails to comply with section 43.1 of the Act commits an offence punishable under Part 2 of the Provincial Offences Procedure Act as a category D offence.
