An Act Respecting the Disclosure of Information
to Professional Regulatory Bodies
Assented to June 12, 2026
His Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:
Child and Youth Well-Being Act
1Subsection 22(5) of the Child and Youth Well-Being Act, chapter 35 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 2022, is amended
(a) in the portion preceding paragraph (a) by striking out “the consent required under paragraph (2)(a) or (b)” and substituting “consent”;
(b) in paragraph (g) of the English version by striking out “or” at the end of the paragraph;
(c) by adding after paragraph (g) the following:
(g.1) to a professional regulatory body authorized under a private Act of the Legislature to collect information as part of an investigation with respect to professional services provided by one of its members; or
Family Services Act
2Subsection 11(3) of the Family Services Act, chapter F-2.2 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 1980, is amended
(a) in paragraph (c) of the English version by striking out “or” at the end of the paragraph;
(b) by adding after paragraph (c) the following:
(c.1) to a professional regulatory body authorized under a private Act of the Legislature to collect information as part of an investigation with respect to professional services provided by one of its members, or
