An Act to Amend the
Order of New Brunswick Act
Assented to December 12, 2025
His Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:
1Section 11 of the Order of New Brunswick Act, chapter 199 of the Revised Statutes, 2011, is amended by striking out “five individuals” and substituting “ten individuals”.
2Section 15 of the Act is amended
(a) in subsection (2) by striking out “as determined by the Executive Council”;
(b) by adding the following after subsection (3):
15(3.1)Despite paragraph (1)(c) and subsection (3), a member of the council appointed under paragraph (1)(c) shall remain in office until the member resigns or is reappointed or replaced.
15(3.2)On the recommendation of the council, the Executive Council may remove a member of the council appointed under paragraph (1)(c) for cause.
