An Act to Amend
the Judicature Act
Assented to June 6, 2025
His Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:
1Subsection 56.93(2) of the Judicature Act, chapter J-2 of the Revised Statutes, 1973, is amended by adding after paragraph (c) the following:
(c.1) under section 60
(i) to receive evidence of service in accordance with subsection (5) and to determine whether other evidence of service is satisfactory under that subsection,
(ii) to waive notice requirements or to order substituted service under subsection (6),
(iii) to deem a parent to be in agreement with an application and to hear the application in accordance with subsection (7.1) or (7.2),
(iv) to receive evidence and to make determinations under subsection (8);
